Important. Joining the waitlist is not a purchase, order, reservation or contract to buy a vehicle. We take no payment on this Site. Vehicle details shown here are preliminary and may change.
1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and the operator of scout-preorder.us (“we”, “us”) and govern your use of scout-preorder.us (the “Site”). By using the Site or joining the waitlist, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to join the waitlist.
2. The waitlist
- Joining the waitlist only means you'd like to hear from us about Scout E1. It does not create any obligation for you to buy, or for us to sell or deliver, any vehicle.
- A place on the waitlist does not guarantee a vehicle, a price, a delivery date, a configuration or priority in any future ordering process.
- Any future order or reservation will be offered under separate terms that you'll be able to review before you commit or pay anything.
- You can leave the waitlist at any time by unsubscribing or emailing [email protected].
3. Product information
Scout E1 is shown as a concept. Images are illustrations. Specifications, range estimates, performance figures, features, colors, availability and timing are preliminary targets, not promises, and may change or be withdrawn without notice. The range estimator on the Site is a simplified illustration. Real-world range depends on driving style, weather, terrain, load, tire choice and battery condition.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- give false information or sign up someone else without their permission;
- use bots, scrapers or other automated means to access the Site or join the waitlist;
- interfere with, disrupt or try to gain unauthorized access to the Site or its systems;
- use the Site for any unlawful, fraudulent or harmful purpose.
5. Intellectual property
The Site and its content, including text, graphics, illustrations, logos, design and code, are owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. You may view the Site for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, distribute or create derivative works from it without our written permission. Third-party names and marks belong to their respective owners.
6. Third-party links and services
The Site may show ads or link to third-party sites and services we don't control. We aren't responsible for their content, products or privacy practices.
7. Disclaimers
THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DON'T WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE OR SECURE.
8. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR THE WAITLIST. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SITE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US $100). Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your misuse of the Site or your breach of these Terms.
10. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and applicable state law. Before filing any claim, you agree to first contact us at [email protected] and try to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.
11. Changes and termination
We may update these Terms. When we do, we'll change the “Last updated” date above, and the new Terms apply from that date. We may change, suspend or discontinue the Site or the waitlist at any time.
12. General
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the Site.
